Why do you need to expose your savings to FRAUDSTERS for an item you really want to buy online? Badala wants to create a comfortable shopping experience for you.
Why should I trust Badala?
When you buy online using Badala, we hold onto your money until you have received your product or service. Only when you are satisfied do we send the money forward to the online store.
Does Badala charge me using their service?
Currently Badala does not charge buyers for using its services.
How do I recharge my wallet?
Where can I top up my balance?
Top up using 1Voucher:
1. Buy
a 1Voucher from any participating stores.
2. Log in
to your Personal account at www.badala.co.za/personal/login/
3. Top up
by entering your 1Voucher PIN. Your account will be topped up.

Use your cell phone number as your reference which will update your wallet in less than 5 minutes. You can also walk up to an ABSA ATM and deposit money into this wallet using your cell phone number as your reference.
Note: The least amount of money you can use to top up your wallet is R100.00. Anything less than R100.00 will result in a penalty fee of R10.00.

How often can I recharge my wallet?
As many times as you want to go shopping online.
How much can I recharge my wallet with?
The least amount of money you can use to top up your wallet is R100.00. Anything less than R100.00 will result in a penalty fee of R10.00.
Where can I check my balance?
By logging into your wallet, all your transactions including your balance will be available to you on the dashboard.
Can I withdraw my money?

Because this is not a bank account, you will not be able to withdraw your money. You can only use your money to buy products or pay for services online.
Will my money earn interest?
Badala is a non-bank meaning your money will not earn interest after you've topped up your wallet.
Can I cancel my order?
What if I'm not happy with my product?
After using Badala to purchase items online, we hold onto your money until you have received your product or services and are happy.
Do I get charged when I cancel my order?
This depends on the terms and conditions from the online store you have bought from. Please make sure to read their T's & C's before making a purchase as Badala might not be held liable for cases where the buyer did not go through the T's & C's.

Why should I consider Badala?
What added value does Badala have for my Business?
We charge e-commerce stores 3.5% for each successful transaction plus a R5 flat fee (i.e 3.5% + R5) which is comparatively reasonable compared to our competitors.
What more does Badala offer me?
We send the money due to you as soon as your customer is satisfied with your service.
Which means payouts could happen the very same day.
Why does Badala put the customer first?
Badala holds both you and the customer in high regard. We need to assure that the customer enjoys their shopping experience. We understand that a satisfied customer is more likely to come back and go shopping again.
When does Badala do their payouts?
How soon should I expect the money due to me?
Market place stores (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, etc sellers)
Market place stores will get their payout as soon as your customer is happy about the goods or services you've sold them. This builds reputational value for your store as customers will be rating your service, heightening your chances of attracting more customers.
In other words, it depends on your service. We want your store to grow according to your customers experiences.
Merchants with existing Websites
Depending on whether your customer has asked Badala to hold on to their money until they have received the goods or services you've sold them, Merchants with existing Websites might have to wait until they have delivered for their payout.
In other instances, they should expect to receive payouts within 24 hours of a sale from their online site.
How much should I expect to get?
3.5% less of the total amount of every product that is bought by customers in your online store + R5 flat fee.
Where do I find my API key?
How do I create an API key?
Once you have created a business account and you are logged in, you'll have to tell us more about your online store, e.g. filling in your online store website address, sending us your logo, etc.
This will generate your API key which will be available on your Business dashboard.
Where do I use my API key?
Each webstore front has guidelines on which gateway you would like to use to receive payment. Click on the store you are currently using to add Badala on your store.
